Yes. This is a very popular method of installation, providing the tile is intact and still provides a solid, secure wall on which to adhere the Sentrel panels. This method greatly saves you the time and hassle of a messy and costly tear out project.
Sentrel is an extremely durable wall product, yet very lightweight. Sentrel weighs a little over ½ pound per square foot. Our largest panel, measuring 60” x 96”, weighs only 26 lbs.
This depends entirely on the complexity of the project, such as complete tear outs, shower base and wainscoting, but generally can be done in as little as one or two days.
Painted on finishes are very fragile, and for the most part, only lasts a couple of years. They are also very tricky to clean without damaging the surface. No, when using our specially formulated polyurethane adhesive, bracing is not required. Our adhesive is very user friendly, offering immediate grab with plenty of time to move the panel into that perfect position. We sell this adhesive in cases of 10 oz. cartridges or 20 oz. sausages.
